Martin Paluška
(Kovačica, 1913 - 1984)
His education includes six years of elementary school, and three years of craft school. By profession he used to be a machine-locksmith, and, for several years, worked in a mill. He started painting in 1923, inspired by the beauty of nature and Slovakian folklore.
For a little over half a century, he painted 630 oil paintings and presented them at every „Kovačicki oktober“ event from 1952 to 1985. His accomplishments in the field of art earned him multiple awards:
